Suzhou Institute of Nano-Tech and Nano-Bionics (SINANO) was co-established by Chinese Academy of Sciences and Jiangsu, Suzhou and SIP government in 2006 in response to the state`s key strategic needs, which has intensive involvement in the national innovation system and lays focus on key research areas such as GaN of the 3rd Generation Semiconductor, device and application, MEMS manufacturing, etc. With the key platforms such as NANO-X Vacuum Interconnected nanotech Workstation, Nana Processing and Test Analysis, Micro System and Packaging Centre in place, it is awarded as ‘Talent Fostering Base of Innovation Promotion Base’ by Ministry of Science and Technology (the MOST), ‘National Exemplary Unit for Foreign Intelligence Introduction’ by Ministry of State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs (the SAFEA) and the only ‘National Innovation and Entrepreneurship Demonstration Base’ in Jiangsu Province.
